I ran the Nike Cross Northwest Regional race today as part of Tigers XC.  We ran in the Varsity Section 1 race.  Great day, the weather was beautiful!  We got to sleep in, go to the hottub at the hotel and relax before the race since we did not run until about 1:30pm.

We got to Eagle Island in time to get in a good warmup and some drills before the race took off.

I ran strong and kept myself in great position through the race and ran a PR of 17:58 on a hard course.  I even outkicked anothe kid in the stretch to edge it out by 0.1 seconds! I was third on our team and 180 out of 405 runners in varsity.  Our team ran hard!

Cooled down a bit then hung out with the team and Claire for the afternoon to wait for the awards.  Isaac won our section and placed 3rd overall in the varsity races!

We went back to the hotel to shower and have pizza with our families.  Then we drove down to the BSU game and watched our first college game (Claire had extra tickets!).  We left early as BSU was losing and hung out until 3am at the hottub and in our room.

We are a Band of Brothers!
